Understanding Wine

Wine seminar with Barry Saslove Feb. 24th 19:30

Barry Saslove, a Canadian computer engineer, has been a wine lover for many years. He travelled around the world, exploring the wine culture of different countries, and teaching his fellow workers the art of wine appreciation. In 1991 he left computers for a new career of winemaking and in 1998 established Saslove Winery, of Israel's first Boutique wineries. Barry considers himself first and foremost as a wine educator. More than 3000 people have participated in Barry’s wine courses over the years.


The goal, of this 3 hour seminar, is to gain a better knowledge of wine appreciation.

The following topics will covered in depth:
1 – Wine tasting technique: (viewing, swirling, smelling and tasting)
2 – Wine tasting terminology
3 – Matching Food with wine
4 – Rules of ordering and returning wine at restaurants
5 – Storing and ageing wine at home

During the seminar we will be tasting red, white and dessert wines.

The seminar will take place on the 24th of February at 19:30 at the winery in Eyal
